It was arguably the best game Pasco County prep soccer has seen this season. It was the top two girls teams — Land O’ Lakes and Mitchell — and both had been rolling teams all season. In fact, the Mustangs (14-1) defeated Ridgewood 19-1 on Dec. 1, while the closest game for the Gators (15-1) was an early-season 3-2 loss to Class 5A Newsome (12-0-1). Down 2-0 to Mitchell at the half, Land O’ Lakes rallied to score three goals, including the winner on a 35-yard free kick from Lacy Nasello in the 68th minute.
