Bolles captured a clean sweep of the major awards at the Bale-n-Trail Original at Bartram Trail High School, continuing the Bulldogs’ speedy start to the cross country season. The 2016 Times-Union cross country athletes of the year, junior Charles Hicks and senior Caitlin Collier, both won the individual races and led the Bulldogs to first place in the team standings. In the boys race, Hicks posted a blistering 15:26.90 to edge Deltona Trinity Christian’s Jacob McLeod by a fifth of a second. Teammate Chase Rivera placed sixth and five Bulldogs ranked in the top 22.
